Mechanism of Action

Gammabenzene exerts its parasiticidal effect by being directly absorbed into the parasite (primarily lice or scabies) and their ova. Blockage of the GABA-gated chloride channel reduces neuronal inhibition, which leads to hyperexcitation of the central nervous system, resulting in convulsions and death.
Cetrimide is a cationic surfactant. It destroys or damages the cell membrane by lowering surface tension. It causes microbial protein denaturation and produces antiseptic action. It has bactericidal activity against gram-positive bacteria.
